What happens when a little girl who grew up on a gentleman’s farm, marries? She ties the knot on the family farm now converted into a wedding venue, we all know as Sonshine Barn. Sarah, the owners’ daughter, and Robert, married in the landscaped fields. Their wedding reflected their faith, family, and fun.

Robert’s nephews served as ring bearers, carrying an ark as they walked down the aisle to a song from Raiders of the Lost Ark. And for the recessional, Sarah and Robert, left the ceremony to the Victor’s song from Star Wars, the New Hope.

Sarah’s aunt and uncle sang the Wedding Song for the bridesmaids’ processional, then So Will I (100 Billion X) during the unity sand and communion portions of the ceremony.

The party moved to the barn for a delicious catered dinner of beef tenderloin, Polish sausage and veggies, jerk chicken, and portabella mushrooms. And for the sweet tooth, guests enjoyed an assortment of cream and fruit pies from Grand Traverse Pie Company and mini vegan cupcakes from Third Coast Bakery. The couple cut a chocolate vegan cake from Third Coast Bakery. Then they performed the tango for their first dance.

To abide by safety distancing protocols, the dance party moved outside under a large, white tent. Derek Hall from DJ Block Party kept the party rocking as he played contemporary and throwback tunes. And guests jumped, danced, and photo bombed at the Enchanted Mirror station near the dance floor. As the night came to an end, the couple bid their farewells to a sparkler exit. Congrats Sarah and Robert!
